Job summary

Blend is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build foundational systems that power our cloud banking platform, used by Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, and 330+ financial services firms.

You will design backend services, authentication flows, and scalable platform capabilities to enable secure, end-to-end digital experiences. The role emphasizes secure AI-assisted automation, developer infrastructure, and collaboration with product, security, and operations teams, offering opportunities to mentor peers

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend experience in Go, TS/Node.js, Java, or Python.
• Experience designing and operating production distributed systems, APIs, databases.
• Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, sessions, and identity protocols.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reliable backend services and platform capabilities.
• Lead API and distributed system design, data storage, workflow orchestration, and service integrations.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization systems, MFA, and token management.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions across teams.
