Job summary

Sei Labs is building Sei into a world-class L1 for decentralized finance. This Platform Engineer role aims to make the safe path the default for every engineer on the team, with a broad mandate on reliability, testing, and speed.

You will join a small Platform Engineering team to own infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and incident response across the Sei stack, ensuring scalable and secure operations in a multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production systems at scale.
• Security fundamentals.

• Benchmarking & performance bottleneck analysis.

• End-to-end systems thinking.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & scale testing: Build and maintain Docker/Kubernetes harnesses for repeatable stress and scale testing across multi-cloud.
• Release engineering & CI/CD: Consolidate CI/CD into reusable, standardized workflows and own version tagging, hotfix paths, PR review scaffolding, and the full release lifecycle.
• Observability: Single pane of glass for metrics, traces, and logs — OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, ELK, with defined SLOs.
• Performance & chaos testing in CI: Automated chaos and performance tests gating 100% of releases.
• Security & incident response: Manage bug and vulnerability workflows, audits, triage, postmortems; each incident yields a new test or runbook.
