NRG Energy is hiring experienced engineers to define and build the next generation of Vivint’s platform infrastructure in Seattle. You will design and operate systems powering real-time smart home experiences across cloud services, APIs, and IoT integrations.

This high-ownership role requires designing scalable distributed systems, driving architecture, and collaborating across mobile, backend, embedded, and data teams. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualificações

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating production systems (Senior–Staff level).
• Strong experience in Go, Python, or similar backend languages.

Responsabilidades

• Design and operate systems powering real-time smart home experiences.
• Build and scale distributed systems handling large volumes of events.
• Own systems end-to-end: design, deployment, observability, production operations.
• Contribute to architecture discussions for new platform capabilities.
• Build secure, resilient, low-latency systems in a distributed environment.
• Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar.
