Job summary

Raymond James is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, support, and enhance enterprise development platforms enabling efficient software delivery, automation, security, and scalability. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least three days a week with focus on GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, JFrog, Azure DevOps, Jira, and SonarQube.

You will lead upgrades, migrations, and tool consolidations while advancing CI/CD practices, security controls, and developer productivity

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related experience.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise development platforms (GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, JFrog, Azure DevOps, Jira, SonarQube).
  • Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize enterprise development platforms for reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Design and support CI/CD capabilities to improve delivery efficiency and developer experience.
  • Lead platform upgrades, migrations, and tool consolidations with minimal disruption.
  • Drive automation to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
  • Collaborate with dev, infra, and security teams on best practices for source control and governance.
  • Implement secure software delivery practices, including code scanning and dependency management.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across platforms and tooling.
  • Contribute to platform standards and DevOps improvements.

Job Description Summary

Design, support, and enhance enterprise development platforms that enable efficient software delivery, automation, security, and scalability. This role partners across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to improve platform reliability, streamline developer workflows, and advance modern DevOps practices.

Job Description

This role is a hybrid workstyle: with the associate expected to work from a Raymond James office location at least three days per week, including either Monday or Friday. Please note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.

Technical Skills & Experience: 5+ years of Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or related experience. Hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise development platforms such as GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, JFrog (Artifactory/Xray), Azure DevOps, Jira, SonarQube, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of Git, source control management, artifact repositories, release automation, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery best practices. Experience leading platform upgrades, integrations, migrations, and tool consolidations, including the movement of repositories, pipelines, configurations, and users between platforms. Experience with Linux, Windows, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Groovy, or similar languages. Experience implementing secure development and deployment practices, platform governance, monitoring, observability, and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise development platforms and services, ensuring reliability, performance, security, and scalability across the software delivery ecosystem.
  • Design, implement, and support CI/CD capabilities that improve software delivery efficiency and developer experience.
  • Lead platform upgrade, integration, migration, and modernization initiatives while minimizing disruption to development teams and business operations.
  • Drive automation initiatives that improve reliability, scalability, operational efficiency, and developer productivity.
  • Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to establish best practices for source control, CI/CD, artifact management, workflow automation, and platform governance.
  • Implement secure software delivery practices, including code scanning, dependency management, secrets management, and compliance controls.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across development platforms, infrastructure, automation workflows, and developer tooling.
  • Contribute to platform standards, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives that advance enterprise DevOps capabilities.
