Job summary

McLane Company, a leading logistics and distribution provider, seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to own infrastructure, automation, and reliability for our cloud-native Enterprise Integration Platform. You will drive self-service capabilities, implement CI/CD pipelines, and manage multi-cloud runtimes to enable engineering teams.

Join a high-impact, hybrid role reporting to the Platform Engineering team. You’ll work from the Temple, TX area with a 50-minute radius requirement and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management.
• Hands-on with monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience supporting multi-team platforms at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform infrastructure and automation for integration services.
• Build and maintain Terraform modules and provisioning pipelines.
• Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines (build, test, deploy).
• Manage runtime environments (Cloud Run, containers, distributed workloads).
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Ensure security, IAM, and network configuration across platform services.
• Enable teams with self-service infrastructure and standard patterns.
• Troubleshoot platform, networking, and deployment issues.
• Drive automation and operational excellence across the platform.
