Job summary

Orb is hiring a senior engineer for the platform team to build and evolve the developer platform and related tooling. You will shape CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and the build system across a large multi-service codebase, enabling product engineers to ship quickly and safely.

You will drive the primitives and abstractions for the application platform, with AI-assisted development in mind, and collaborate with security to keep workflows safe by default.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with ownership of a developer or platform at scale.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS, IaC, containers, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the developer platform across CI/CD, IaC, and build systems for a large multi-service codebase.
• Build application-platform primitives and abstractions to help engineers ship quickly.
• Create tooling for production-like environments with sandboxes and previews for AI agents.
• Improve developer-facing observability and on-call reliability.
• Advance AI-assisted, agent-driven development and safe practices.
• Partner with security to ensure safe-by-default infrastructure.
