Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for the Space and Air Center team in Plano, TX, on site. The role requires U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance prior to start.

You will harness Terraform and Ansible to modernize infrastructure, build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across security, development, and systems teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, virtualization technologies, and software deployment.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying, configuring and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab).
• Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration and integration.
• Experience designing, implementing and integrating platform infrastructure services using IaC.
• Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience (server, storage, network hardware).
• Experience with programming languages (Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
• Experience troubleshooting performance, reliability and availability issues across Linux/Windows platforms.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Helm, Rancher).
