Job summary

Legora is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in New York City to join an enabling team that makes life easier for developers. The role focuses on reliability, performance, and a rock‑solid platform that scales with the company.

You will work hands‑on across infrastructure and backend systems to help teams ship faster, safer, and smarter. You will operate and evolve our Kubernetes platform, manage cloud ops end‑to‑end across Azure, AWS and GCP, and drive IaC with Pulumi.

Qualifications

• Years of experience as a backend engineer with strong infra, observability and monitoring know‑how.
• Proficient with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Pulumi or similar IaC tools (AWS CDK, Terraform).
• thrives in fast‑paced environments and accepts long hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and evolve our Kubernetes and CNCF‑aligned platform, including cluster lifecycle and autoscaling.
• Own cloud ops end-to-end across Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Maintain regional architecture for data residency and region-specific operations.
• Drive infrastructure as code with Pulumi and guardrails.
• Improve reliability, performance, cost, SLOs, observability, and incident response.
• Collaborate with SRE and Foundations across regions from NYC.

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Legora, you'll join an enabling team focused on making life easier for developers. Your mission: improve reliability, boost performance, and build a rock-solid platform that scales with the company. You'll work hands-on across infrastructure and backend systems, helping teams ship faster, safer, and smarter.

What you will be doing

• Operate and evolve our Kubernetes and CNCF-aligned platform: cluster lifecycle, workload primitives, autoscaling, and the golden paths product teams build on

• Own cloud ops end-to-end: networking, IAM, secrets, capacity, and cost across Azure, AWS, and GCP

• Maintain and expand our growing processing regional architecture: independent Regions, data residency, per-Region operations, and the customer-selectable Region model.

• Drive infrastructure as code with Pulumi: modules, guardrails, and review patterns the rest of engineering ships through

• Improve reliability, performance, and cost: SLOs, observability, autoscaling, capacity planning, and on-call and incident response

• Anchor the platform discipline in NYC and partner closely with SRE and Foundations across regions

Who you are

• You have years of experience as a backend engineer but have solid infrastructure, observability, and monitoring know-how

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Experience with Pulumi (preferred) or similar IaC tools like AWS CDK, Terraform

• But most importantly, you are someone who:

  • \"Gets stuff done\" and understands building a $10bn company isn't always glamorous and takes hard work and long hours

  • Proactively and independently solves the most burning problems
