Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud-based applications as part of a DevSecOps team.

You will enable a multidisciplinary engineering group to meet the requirements of a mission-critical RF system and a Digital Twin environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, and holds a TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance or higher with SCI eligibility.
• 7+ years of cloud/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters including OpenShift/Rancher.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support IaC-based services using Terraform or similar tools.
• Build, optimize, and maintain production-grade CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or Jenkins).
• Build and maintain automation via scripts and tools.
• Configure and tune cloud controls (gateways, security groups, etc.).
• Manage compute, storage, networking, and DB services across cloud environments with security/compliance in mind.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate testing into pipelines.
• Enforce security best practices for systems and data privacy.
• Provision OpenShift/Kubernetes across multiple security domains.
• Collaborate with teams to scale platforms to meet requirements.
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and secure solutions.

This role will be responsible for enabling a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet the requirements of a mission critical cloud-based force protection system with a Digital Twin environment. The chosen engineer will work closely with RF hardware engineers, system designers, and other stakeholders to deliver a high-performance, reliable RF system and Digital Twin. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated technical leader who thrives in agile environments and adapts quickly to emerging technologies and requirements.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and support services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or similar technology.Build, optimize, and maintain production-grade CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab or Jenkins).Build and maintain automation using scripts and other tools.Configure and tune groups , application gateways, and other protective cloud controls.Manage compute, storage, networking, and database services across cloud environments while ensuring adherence to security and compliance frameworks.Collaborate closely with other engineers and subject matter experts to integrate testing into pipelines.Establish and enforce security best practices for system implementations and data privacy.Provisioning Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes environments across multiple security domains in Cloud, data center, and edge environments.Conduct trade studies to select appropriate open-source, commercial or existing government solutions/technologies to balance security, supportability, performance, cost, user experience, and time to operations.Collaborate with other teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them.Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.Qualifications:Required:U.S. Citizenship requiredMust have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligabilityBS/BA + 7 years or equivalency7+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineeringExtensive hands-on engineering experience in one or more of OpenShift, AWS, GCP or RancherExpert Terraform skills or similar; proven experience managing infrastructure with infrastructure as codeExperience operating production Kubernetes clusters (OpenShift/Rancher) supporting processing workloadsExperience with containers (Docker, Podman) and CI/CD (Gitlab or Jenkins pipelines)Scripting/programming abilitiesExperience with GitOps (ArgoCD)Desired:Linux/Red Hat knowledgeExperience with Digital Twin systemsElastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) or similarExperience with continuous monitoring and automated security toolsStrong communication skills for presenting to senior leadership-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
