Job summary

Blue Origin Engines is hiring a Platform DevSecOps Engineer III to design, build, and operate reusable infrastructure-as-code modules with Pulumi and Terraform, and to run production Kubernetes platforms on AWS (EKS) at scale. You will own shared platform services, CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and AI-assisted development workflows.

The role emphasizes automation, self-service tooling, and incident response leadership, supporting multi-tenant environments and high-velocity product teams

Qualifications

• B.S./B.E. or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years building, deploying, and operating software or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience as a platform engineer, DevOps/DevSecOps or SRE.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Experience designing production Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with multi-account/multi-tenant environments and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Own platform components from design to operation with minimal oversight.
• Build reusable IaC modules (Pulumi/Terraform) as versioned products.
• Operate production Kubernetes on AWS, including EKS and networking.
• Design CI/CD pipelines and deployment patterns (blue/green, canary, automated rollback).
• Lead incident response, postmortems, and RCA to drive preventive actions.
• Define and instrument SLI/SLOs, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Establish security controls in line with Blue Origin standards and export control requirements.
