Job summary

T. Rowe Price is seeking a Lead Platform Automation Engineer in Owings Mills, MD, to design and scale automated platform provisioning across databases, middleware, and shared services.

The role focuses on developer experience, self-service patterns, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS. You will work with platform, cloud, security, and engineering teams to deliver reusable automations, CI/CD workflows, and reliable platform capabilities, with a hybrid work schedule and on-site

Qualifications

• Typically 7+ years of experience designing, building, automating, or operating enterprise technology platforms.
• Experience building self-service developer workflows, reusable modules, templates, platform APIs, or internal developer platform capabilities.
• Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code for provisioning, configuration, policy enforcement, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reusable automation patterns for provisioning and managing enterprise platforms.
• Improve developer experience by creating self-service workflows and clear platform interfaces.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code patterns for AWS-based platform services.
• Build and extend CI/CD pipelines that support platform provisioning, configuration, testing, promotion, release, and changes.
• Automate platform lifecycle activities such as provisioning, configuration, patching, scaling, and decommissioning.
