Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (Finance) to design, drive, and operationalize firmware and software architecture for edge AI platforms. You will collaborate with HW and SW teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions and mentor future leaders across the engineering organization.

You will engage from pre-silicon design to product production, making key decisions, and shaping platform workflows.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years in System architecture and design.
• Experience designing scalable edge system architectures at the SW/HW interface.
• Proven work with accelerators such as GPUs, DPUs, or FPGAs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to lead across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform workflows, including firmware and software extensibility for product designs.
• Collaborate with SW/FW architects, HW Designers, ISV/IHV partners to define platform requirements.
• Champion reliability, debuggability and optimization in firmware and deployment tools.
• Engage from pre-silicon design through product production.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams to grow into leaders.
• Make key technical decisions under ambiguity.
