Collier County is seeking an experienced Plant Operator Ill to manage advanced operation, monitoring, and optimization of water or wastewater treatment facilities. The role includes leading junior staff, ensuring compliance with FDEP rules, and maintaining detailed regulatory records.

Ideal candidates have a Class A license and a strong background in SCADA-driven process control, with proven troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of related experience in water/wastewater operations.
• Must have FDEP Class A license or be eligible.
• Fingerprinting/background screening required.

Responsabilités

• Operate and optimize water or wastewater treatment processes.
• Lead Plant Operator Trainees and lower-grade operators.
• Monitor SCADA, collect samples, and document regulatory data.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Coordinate with maintenance and laboratory staff.
