Job summary

Symrise AG is seeking a senior operations leader to manage personnel and manufacturing activities, ensuring products meet customer expectations while adhering to budget, quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

The role requires 10–15 years of experience in plant operations, strong budgeting and P&L skills, and proficiency in Lean/TPM. You will oversee planning, compliance, staff development, and productivity initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in planning, organizing, developing and controlling manufacturing/processing operations.
• Strategic thinker with short- and long-term planning experience.
• Previous budgeting and P&L responsibility.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methods (Lean/TPM).

Responsibilities

• Manages personnel and operations to ensure manufacturing meets customer expectations, budget, policies, quality, safety and sanitation.
• Approves implementation of manufacturing and organizational plans and reviews performance against plans.
• Ensures duties and authority of direct subordinates are defined and understood.
• Develops short- and long-term objectives, plans and programs with supporting budgets and financial estimates.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations including USDA, EPA, OSHA, etc.
• Maintains communication within the area of responsibility and informs employees of plans.
• Oversees staffing, training needs, and staff development; manages staffing to meet production schedules.
• Reviews cost control reports and budgets; approves budget proposals from direct reports.
• Directs safety processes and ensures company safety standards are achieved.
• Identifies productivity improvements and maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
