Job summary

Furmano Foods in Pennsylvania seeks a Senior Plant Engineer to provide technical leadership across manufacturing processes, facilities, automation, and packaging. The role focuses on safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements while delivering hands-on engineering support to production operations.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, 7–10 years in food manufacturing, and PE certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
• Seven to ten years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably food or CPG.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering initiatives for manufacturing, facilities, utilities, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Direct engineering team and provide technical guidance across the organization.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to production and maintain engineering standards.
• Design and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Lead capital equipment evaluations, budgeting, installation, and startup activities.
