Job summary

Adient is seeking a senior Plant Controller at its West Point facility to lead accounting, close processes, and financial reporting for a manufacturing operation. You will manage cost/inventory accounting, asset capitalization, and project accounting while ensuring SOX compliance and robust internal controls.

The role requires 8+ years in accounting/finance within manufacturing, bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and strong Excel/SAP/HFM experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
8+ years of Accounting/Finance experience with strong manufacturing background.
Automotive manufacturing and plant finance exposure preferred.
Fluent with MS Office; advanced MS Excel.
ERP experience with SAP and HFM preferred; SOX/internal controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and yearly closes and prepare journal entries and accruals.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and validate financial statements.
Manage inventory valuation, movements, and physical inventory reconciliation.
Support budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis by plant or platform.
Provide insights to leadership and prepare management reports.
Coordinate with tax, internal controls, and audits (SOX).
