Job summary

Lumen is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Capacity Planner to manage critical systems growth across the network. You will lead mechanical, electrical and site civil planning, sizing, and capacity forecasting, coordinating with real estate and engineering teams.

The role is remote in the USA with standard Monday–Friday hours, with flexibility for off‑hours as needed. Extensive CAD work and cross‑functional leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is required
• 6+ years of related experience
• 4+ years of related experience with a master’s degree
• AutoCAD proficiency is required
• AC/DC Power Systems knowledge/experience is required

Responsibilities

• Provides SME guidance in mechanical systems, AC distribution, UPS, STS, generator and site civil work
• Coordinates real estate easements/right‑of‑way and land purchases impacting site civil work
• Triggers projects using feasible, economical methods
• Performs engineering design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of equipment
• Analyzes complex systems and customer networks to size critical infrastructure
• Reads and interprets electrical one lines, mechanical and architectural drawings
• Configures systems to user environments
• Supports hardware/software acquisition and subcontractor services
