Lane County is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join the Planning Program. The role leads complex land use planning projects, reviews applications, and interprets regulations to shape rural communities. You will prepare findings, staff reports, and recommendations, while engaging diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in regional or urban planning or a related field.
• Three years of increasingly responsible planning experience, including one year of lead responsibility.
• Knowledge and experience with Oregon Land Conservation and Development Goals & Rules is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead resource on complex land use planning projects and manage high-profile initiatives.
• Review and approve land use applications and determine regulatory compliance.
• Prepare staff reports and findings; present recommendations to decision-makers.
• Represent the County before advisory committees, public hearings, and community groups.
