Zachry Group is seeking a Stress Engineer IV for the Downers Grove Design Center. The role involves leading formal stress analysis of piping systems, ensuring code compliance, and coordinating with engineers to optimize routing and supports.

It requires deep CAESAR II experience and a strong safety and quality mindset. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mechanical stress engineering, with extensive ASME code experience, and is willing to travel to client sites or field locations as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical stress engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years in Petroleum Refining, Chemical or Power Industry.
• Experience with ASME Section I and VIII pressure vessels and B31.1/B31.3 piping codes.
• Experience with CAESAR II, FEATools and NozzlePRO.
• Ability to function as a qualified checker across clients and projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prepare design concepts, technical docs, and drawings checks.
• Strong communication skills for inter-discipline, client, vendor coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Review piping systems for thermal flexibility, vibration, supports.
• Perform ASME B31.1/B31.3 stress analyses with CAESAR II.
• Lead and coordinate with piping designers for routing and supports.
• Prepare formal stress evaluation reports and field surveys.
• Communicate complex technical solutions with other stress engineers.
