Job summary

IDOM is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer for its Energy practice, with opportunities at Minneapolis, Atlanta, or Texas on-site. The role offers global project exposure, collaboration across disciplines, and potential to grow toward partnership in a multicultural, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years' experience in industrial or power plant design, preferably international.
• Experience coordinating designers, reviewing routings/isometrics, and supervising drawings.
• Ability to prepare piping and valve specifications and write RFQs/data sheets.
• Experience with flexibility calculations and defining special supports.

ABOUT YOU

Apply if you have....

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering specializing in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• At least 5 years' experience in industrial or power plant design, preferably in an international environment, including: Design management (coordinate designers, review routings/isometrics, supervise support drawings, etc); Materials (prepare piping and valve specifications, write RFQs/data sheets, review supplier documents, etc);
• Flexibility calculations (preferably with Caesar) and definition of special supports.
• Can provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members. Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel.
• Can make independent decisions on engineering problems and methods, define options, and articulate the best solution(s) to the team.
• Field experience is not required but it is a plus
• Are willing to move to USA.
• Have advanced English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
• Autonomy and innovative mentality.
• And above all... eager to learn in an international company like IDOM.
