Job summary

Vestal Corporation is seeking a Senior Piping Designer to lead the mechanical piping scopes of work on select projects in a fast-paced office environment. You will prepare scopes, manage man-hour budgets, and oversee piping layout and general arrangement for assigned areas, coordinating with owners and contractors.

Proficiency in Plant 3D and Revit is required. You will mentor junior staff, track progress, and ensure compliance with project standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Associates degree is preferred.
• Minium of 10 years of mechanical piping design is required.
• Experience with, and understanding of, Engineering, Architecture, and Construction terminology is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical piping scopes of work for select projects.
• Lead piping layout and general arrangement for assigned project areas or systems.
• Lead the development and maintenance of corporate piping drafting standards and templates.
• Coordinate piping design with mechanical equipment and other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior piping design staff.
• Perform field observations and document existing conditions on select projects.
• Comply with Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
