Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with four, eight, or twelve years of professional engineering experience as outlined.
• Engineer-In-Training registration with a state board.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-experts.
• Ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric and geometric calculations.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications to create documents, reports and graphics.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain pipeline systems; select materials, develop procedures and ensure code compliance.
• Evaluate leakage survey effectiveness.
• Operate pipeline system including regulation, measurement, curtailment and loss/gain considerations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Design system mains, regulator and meter settings and corrosion protection.
• Provide input on developing and evaluating operating standards.
• Conduct product evaluations and present safety/economics reports to standards committee.
• Review paperwork on completed jobs for accuracy and adherence to design specs.
• Provide engineering specifications, surveys, and direction necessary for project completion on schedule and budget.
• Coordinate activities between Engineering and Operations for timely project completion.
• Provide specialized reports and studies as required.
• Develop approaches to solutions.
