Job summary

SuperbTech, Inc. seeks experienced Pipeline & Transmission Designers from intermediate to senior levels to support complex utility and infrastructure projects in Los Angeles.

Candidates should have hands-on AutoCAD Plant 3D and Civil 3D experience and be comfortable developing design deliverables and coordinating across disciplines. Responsibilities include developing Plant 3D models, pipeline routing, production drawings, and design packages through design to construction.

Qualifications

• 3–25 years pipeline/transmission design experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D (preferred).
• Experience developing technical drawings and design packages.
• Strong drafting standards and design practices.
• Ability to coordinate across Civil, Structural, Electrical, I&C disciplines.

SuperbTech is seeking experienced Pipeline & Transmission Designers at the Intermediate through Senior level to support complex utility and infrastructure projects.

We are looking for technically strong designers with hands-on AutoCAD Plant 3D and Civil 3D experience and a demonstrated background in pipeline and transmission design. Candidates should be comfortable developing design deliverables, coordinating across engineering disciplines, and supporting projects from design through construction.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain AutoCAD Plant 3D models and production drawings
• Develop pipeline routing, layouts, and construction drawings
• Produce and revise design deliverables based on engineering requirements and project changes

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-25 years of relevant pipeline/transmission design experience

Intermediate Designer, 3–10 Years

Candidates should be able to independently develop Plant 3D models and production drawings with minimal supervision, understand pipeline routing and construction drawing development, and effectively coordinate assigned design deliverables.

• Direct pipeline design experience required, preferably gas transmission pipeline work. Refinery, plant, facility, or process piping experience alone does not satisfy this requirement.
• Hands-on AutoCAD Plant 3D experience required. Experience with CADWorx, PDS, S3D, E3D, Revit, or other 3D platforms does not substitute for Plant 3D.
• Must be able to independently lead and own design projects from initial scope through construction deliverables, with minimal oversight.
• Must have hands-on experience developing the full design package, not just one portion of a project. This includes applicable piping/pipeline plans, sections, isometrics, P&IDs, as-builts, and related construction/design documentation.
• Must be comfortable reviewing project scope and existing documentation, identifying missing information, coordinating with the project team, conducting or supporting field verification/site walkdowns, and resolving design issues.
• Must be capable of communicating directly with project managers, engineers, construction teams, and other disciplines while remaining hands-on with the design.
• Strong understanding of pipeline design standards, existing conditions, tie-ins, constructability, and design deliverables from concept through construction.
• For the Senior level, demonstrated project leadership/ownership is required. Simply supporting a Lead Designer or completing assigned portions of a project is not sufficient.

What We're Looking For

The strongest candidates will combine hands-on technical design ability with real pipeline/transmission project experience. General AutoCAD experience alone is not sufficient. Candidates must have relevant Plant 3D, Civil 3D, and pipeline/transmission design experience.
