Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Clinical Physician Support Coordinator to lead the adoption and optimization of physician-related technologies. The role supports providers and coordinates between IT, physicians and committees to improve system functionality and benefit realization.

Exempt status with responsibilities spanning education, support, and liaison duties to enhance physician workflows and technology use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration or related field; or experience working as a licensed clinical or certified IT professional
• An additional four years of experience in addition to the experience listed below in lieu of bachelor's degree or licensed clinical or certified IT professional experience
• Five years in a provider support, training or optimization capacity in an IT or clinical setting
• EPIC - Certification (EPIC) Certification, proficiency or credentialed on Epic

Responsibilities

• Leads on-site support to members of the medical staff regarding use of provider related technologies including but not limited to the Employee Health Record (EHR), mobile solutions, and communication tools.
• Monitors provider related KPIs and partners with IT, Nursing and Quality departments to develop action plans for improvement.
• Provides excellent customer service with a physician focus with training support and problem resolution.
• Acts as liaison between the medical staff and hospital departments to resolve problems in operational and information technology system issues.
