Kaiser Permanente in Tracy, California, seeks a Senior Physical Therapist (Pediatrics) for an on-call role. You will provide pediatric PT services under supervision, mentor staff, and participate in performance-improvement initiatives within Kaiser facilities.

The role requires California PT licensure, an NP I.D., and a minimum of 2 years of PT experience. You will contribute to patient care and education within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Bachelor or Master or Doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign trained equivalent.
• Physician License/State Licensure: California Physical Therapist License required at hire
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire; Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Physical Therapist.

Responsabilités

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision of Director/Assistant Director or designee.
• Provides department in-service and journal clubs as requested by management.
• Acts as clinical instructor and mentors staff as needed.
• Assists in orientation and training of employees; provides consultancy to staff.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and helps develop new clinical practice models.
• Participates in performance improvement projects and committees.
• May monitor contract therapists and PTAs; ensures quality patient care across Kaiser facilities.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice as required.

Job Summary:

Provides physical therapy services for patients under the direction and supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, and or Clinical Supervisor or designee.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assumes the responsibility as outlined in the Physical Therapists job summary and responsibilities.
• Provides department in-service as requested by management (e.g., journal club presentation, and or regular in-service presentation).
• Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
• Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.
• Provides consultation to staff.
• May act as a mentor for staff.
• May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.
• Identifies process Improvement opportunities.
• May assist in the development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.
• Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.
• May be involved in the clinical competency of PTAs and Rehab Aides.
• May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities
• Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

• Minimum of (2) years experience as a Physical Therapist.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Bachelor or Master or Doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign trained equivalent.

License, Certification, Registration

• Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire
• National Provider Identifier required at hire
• Basic Life Support

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
