Job summary

Burtch Works is seeking a Sr. PHP Web Developer to join our Web Development team on-site in Ohio.

You will contribute to a rapidly expanding business by writing clean, scalable PHP code and improving integration between backend systems and customer-facing properties. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with PHP, Laravel, and Vue, plus strong SQL/Eloquent skills and familiarity with APIs and cloud services (AWS/Google).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PHP development with Laravel and Vue in a production environment.
• Strong SQL (MSSQL) and Eloquent ORM experience; schema design and optimization.
• Experience with GitHub workflows, APIs (AWS/Google), and best practices.
• On-site availability in Ohio; effective communication with non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow industry best practices to deliver clean, secure PHP code.
• Design specifications and models for new solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize core product software and databases.
• Collaborate across teams to implement features and improvements.
• Mentor junior developers on code quality and new technologies.
• Participate in full development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
