Job summary

A stable IT service and product development company is seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer for a fully remote role. The successful candidate will maintain legacy APIs built with CakePHP and develop new microservices using API Platform and Symfony. This role requires at least 4 years of experience in PHP development, strong familiarity with modern PHP frameworks and cloud infrastructure, agile development practices, and the ability to write tests. Qualifications

• At least 4 years of professional experience as PHP Developer.
• Strong experience with PHP 8.3 and modern PHP frameworks (Symfony, API Platform).
• Experience maintaining legacy codebases (CakePHP 2 preferred).
• Familiarity with Docker, GCP, and microservice architecture.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL and Pub/Sub.
• Experience writing unit tests and Behat tests.
• Good understanding of agile/SCRUM development practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance legacy APIs built with CakePHP 2.
• Design and develop new microservices using API Platform and Symfony.
• Write and maintain unit and Behat tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with team members in an agile SCRUM environment.
• Deploy and monitor applications using Docker and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Work with PostgreSQL databases and Pub/Sub messaging services.
