Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Photonics Integrated Circuit Design Engineer to join our Surface Radars and Sensors Center in the SETC Discipline. You will design, model, layout, and test RF PIC devices and subsystems in support of Advanced Technology programs.

You will collaborate with senior engineers across disciplines, own technical decisions, and contribute to white papers and IRAD projects while advancing hybrid electronic-photonics components. This role is based in the US.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing integrated photonic circuits or photonic chips.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate/model, and layout integrated photonic components in foundry environments.
• Post-fabrication assembly and benchtop tests of PIC devices and subsystems.
• Conduct architectural trade studies for wideband RF and hybrid components.
• Contribute to IRAD projects and technical white papers.
• Make accountable technical decisions and communicate with leadership and customers.
