Job summary

Vast in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior Photo Editor to join its Media Production team on a 60-day fixed-term basis. The ideal candidate is a technically precise retoucher who can move fast without cutting corners, and who understands color and light well enough to make judgment calls, not just execute a brief.

You will work on a backlog of unedited production photography, help define color, light, and retouching standards, and support live production as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a photo retoucher or photo editor across commercial, brand, or editorial work.
• Strong proficiency in Lightroom and Photoshop, CaptureOne, with color grading and retouching expertise.
• Ability to define or work within brand-level visual standards, not just execute a brief.
• Portfolio demonstrating consistency across a large volume of images.
• Ability to work independently and move fast while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Clear the backlog: finalize existing unedited photography to delivery-ready quality.
• Post-production workflow: manage file handling from ingest to delivery and build reusable presets.
• Define visual standards: document and maintain color, light, and retouching guidelines.
• Support live production: provide on-set digitech support as needed.
• Capture photography as needed (product, hardware, portrait, event) while upholding standards.
