Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform patient phlebotomy by prescribed technique per manual.
• Prioritize hematology and oncology specimen processing.
• Prepare and label orders; organize daily work flow.
• Follow patient identification processes.
• Answer questions about test requisitions and results.
• Maintain inventory and rotate stock as per protocol.
• Keep neat, accurate files and logs.
• Assist supervisor with statistics and reporting.
• Process cancellations, additions, and changes to tests.
• Handle specimens transport to the lab according to procedures.
• Check packing slips and document receipts.
• Dispose of biohazard waste per SOP.
• Adhere to policies and safeguard assets.
