The Philanthropic Initiative is seeking a Senior Philanthropic Advisor to join its professional staff in Boston. The role focuses on programmatic and strategic planning for TPI clients, and taking primary project management responsibility on select engagements.

You will supervise team members on specific projects and contribute to business development, thought leadership and market-facing initiatives, while building and sustaining client relationships.

• work collaboratively on client engagements to design, develop and evaluate philanthropic programs
• research philanthropic issues and build and maintain client relationships
• assume increasing levels of responsibility for managing selected clients and projects and for pursuing business development opportunities

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Philanthropic Advisor serves as a member of The Philanthropic Initiative’s (TPI) professional staff. They conduct programmatic and strategic planning work for TPI clients; assume primary project management responsibility for some projects and clients, including the supervision of some team members on specific projects; and participate in TPI business development, thought leadership and field-building projects, and marketing efforts. They work collaboratively as a member of teams supporting specific client engagements in designing, developing and evaluating philanthropic programs; researching philanthropic issues; and building and maintaining client relationships. They assume increasing levels of responsibility for managing selected clients and projects, and for proactively identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.

Position Budgeted: $84,000.00 to $104,000.00
