Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing: State of FL registration; Certification in relevant specialty or field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge/Attitudes: Learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information.
• Fills orders and prepares labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
• Organizes and coordinates the effective use of personnel and materials.
• Collaborates with department leadership on the daily management of Pharmacy technicians.
• Serves as a liaison between pharmacy services and internal customers; may coordinate between order entry and dispensing operations.
• Responsible for hazardous, specialized, or advanced level compounding, including chemotherapy, epidural, ophthalmology, CADD pumps, and TPNs.
• Helps to develop and deliver technician continuing education topics and courses.
• Participates in short/long-term taskforces or committees.
• Stays abreast of procedures, fiscal requirements, and emergency procedures.
