Job summary

Genentech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Material Sampling Specialist in California. You will drive material logistics and cleanroom sampling within a cGMP setting, ensuring product quality and safety.

You will maintain records across SAP, LIMS, and EDMS and support continuous improvement in a safety-first culture. The role requires an associate degree with 2+ years of related experience, cleanroom exposure, and the ability to operate forklifts and lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 2+ years of operational, analytical, or supply chain experience.
• Experience in biotech/pharma or chemical manufacturing with training in powder/chemical handling and lab practices.
• Cleanroom environment experience.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with attention to quality and detail.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to pass security screenings.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and warehouse environment, lift up to 40 lbs, and support 24/7 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end material handling and sampling operations, including receiving, quarantine, storage, and distribution, per SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Prepare the cleanroom, manage enclosures and caps, and sample unreleased materials and hazardous components.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and keep warehouse areas inspection-ready.
• Maintain meticulous electronic and physical records in SAP, LIMS, and EDMS to track inventory, orders, and quality.
• Conduct inventory management including cycle counts and weight checks; prepare shipments for internal sites and partners.
• Generate reports, track metrics, and assist with quality events and change records.
• Contribute to safety culture by reporting incidents and supporting peers through on-the-job guidance.
