Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Device Assembly & Packaging Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing client in Holly Springs, NC. The role centers on high-speed autoinjector and pen assembly, labeling, and secondary packaging, acting as the technical voice of site operations.

You will drive OEM selection, validation strategies, and FAT activities, while shaping SOPs, maintenance plans, and startup readiness for a high-volume facility. Travel up to 20% may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
• Direct expertise supporting automated autoinjector or multi-dose pen assembly, labeling, and packaging operations.
• Experience leading projects involving multiple OEM vendors from design through implementation, qualification, and technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide input on OEM selection, URS, design reviews, risk assessments, and related project activities for automated autoinjector and pen assembly and packaging equipment.
• Represent the User Team in defining qualification and validation strategies.
• Lead operational readiness activities including SOPs, maintenance strategies, and startup readiness.

Education

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
