Job summary

Casey’s in the Omaha area is seeking a Senior Petroleum Service Technician to set up, service, maintain, diagnose issues and repair petroleum dispensing and ancillary equipment at Casey’s stores. You will maintain and repair fuel dispensers, submersible pumps, site controllers, and readers, diagnosing problems and performing break-fix and preventive maintenance while complying with safety and EPA rules.

A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in service technician or related role.
• Certified to work on petroleum equipment, or ability to obtain certifications within 3 months of hire date.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in building and mechanical trades work.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal & written instruction.
• Must have ability to respond and adjust to changing or new situations.
• Work well in high stress environments and maintain professionalism.
• Familiarity with computer operations and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
• Travel with overnight stays may be required up to 20% of the time. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain other types of equipment found in Casey’s convenience stores.

• Use instruments to test and evaluate performance of equipment; repair or replace defective valves, electrical boards, and other parts.
• Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA and EPA rules and regulations. Work in a safe manner.
• Perform break fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and the fuel dispensing systems, including electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work.
• Provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectation by ensuring that all assigned duties are completed in a cost-effective manner.

Compensation:

Starting hiring range:$27.80-$36.50.Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the typical hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
