Job summary

Olympus Insurance Company is seeking a results-driven Underwriting Manager for Personal Lines in Jacksonville. Lead a skilled underwriters group, oversee new business and renewals, and drive decisions that balance growth with profitability and service quality.

You will collaborate across Product, Claims, Sales, and Marketing while mentoring staff and strengthening underwriting practices. Florida homeowners experience and leadership skills are highly valued for this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Personal Lines underwriting experience; Florida homeowners experience preferred.
• 3+ years of experience leading, coaching, or developing others.
• Strong knowledge of homeowners insurance, underwriting practices, and operations.
• Florida license requirements or ability to obtain within 90 days (2-20 preferred; 20-44 acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Personal Lines Underwriting team, providing feedback and growth opportunities.
• Oversee new business and renewal underwriting with risk-balanced decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Claims, Sales, Marketing, and other teams to support shared goals.
• Ensure underwriting processes and metrics drive profitability and service.
