Job summary

Qualifications

• RN with two years of preferred clinical operating room, ICU, Cath Lab and other procedural areas RN experience.
• Must possess and maintain a current license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and competent intraoperative patient care.
• Mentor and support staff within the OR and contribute to patient safety checks.
• Enforce aseptic and sterile techniques in all aspects of patient care.
• Operate and monitor specialized OR equipment during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and surgical team during time outs and debriefings.
• Document all procedures, specimens, supplies and implants accurately.
• Assist with positioning and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Participate in meeting departmental initiatives related to patient safety and efficiency.
