Job summary

Active Alliance seeks a Senior Performance Engineer to optimize distributed and microservices systems. You will lead end-to-end performance analysis across application, database, infrastructure, and cloud layers to improve user experience.

You bring 12+ years in performance engineering, deep know-how in APM tools (AppDynamics preferred), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), JVM tuning, and modern observability with ELK, Grafana, and dashboards for performance insight.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12+ years in performance engineering and analysis.
• Experience with APM tools and modern observability stacks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end performance analysis across apps, DB, infra, and cloud.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities across layers.
• Troubleshoot performance with AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, and JFR.
• Tune JVM, manage threads, optimize DB queries, and improve caching.
• Design and run load, stress, soak, and scalability tests.
• Develop performance scripts with JMeter, Gatling, and K6.
• Analyze metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
• Improve reliability, scalability and user experience.
• Perform frontend performance analysis with Lighthouse and DevTools.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals, rendering, CDN, and browser performance.
• Build dashboards and observability solutions with ELK, Grafana, and more.

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Senior Performance Engineer with over 12 years of experience in performance engineering and application performance analysis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and improving overall user experience in distributed and microservices environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end performance analysis across application, database, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot application performance using AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, JFR, and YourKit.
• Perform JVM tuning, analysis, thread management, database query optimization, caching, and microservices performance optimization.
• Design and execute load, stress, soak, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Develop performance test scripts using JMeter, Gatling, and K6.
• Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
• Improve system reliability, scalability, and overall user experience.
• Perform frontend performance analysis using Lighthouse and Chrome DevTools.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals, web rendering, CDN, and browser performance.
• Build dashboards and observability solutions using AppDynamics, Quantum Metric, ELK, Grafana, and related tools.
