Job summary

Rockwood Search is seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to join its Enterprise Performance Analytics team. The ideal candidate will leverage Python (Pandas, NumPy) and Excel to deliver performance insights and robust reporting for senior leadership.

You'll analyze investment performance across instruments, develop scalable analyses, and translate data into clear visuals and presentations to drive strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in performance measurement, investment analytics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data-driven reporting.
  • Demonstrated ownership and initiative in solving business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing enhancement, testing, and deployment of enterprise performance reporting solutions.
  • Analyze and reconcile data across multiple systems, identifying discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
  • Partner with Technology and business stakeholders to design, test, and implement new processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop ad hoc analyses and performance reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Translate complex investment performance data into clear, concise presentations for senior leadership.
  • Identify trends and anomalies in performance data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to maintenance and optimization of performance measurement frameworks and reporting tools.

What You'll Do
  • Support the ongoing enhancement, testing, and deployment of enterprise performance reporting solutions
  • Analyze and reconcile data across multiple systems, identifying discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of performance metrics
  • Partner closely with Technology and business stakeholders to design, test, and implement new processes and reporting capabilities
  • Develop ad hoc analyses and performance reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Translate complex investment performance and returns data into clear, concise presentations and visualizations for senior leadership
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within performance data and proactively communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the maintenance and optimization of enterprise performance measurement frameworks and reporting tools
What We're Looking For
  • 5-10 years of experience in performance measurement, investment analytics, financial data analysis, or a related field
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data-driven reporting
  • Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and a proactive approach to solving business challenges
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and maintainable code
Required Technical & Financial Expertise
  • Hands-on proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting tool development (Pandas, NumPy, and related libraries)
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments including Equities, Fixed income products, and Derivatives
  • Understanding of how investment products are traded, valued, and reported
  • Direct experience with investment performance measurement and return calculations, including:
  • Time-Weighted Return (TWR)
  • Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
  • Other performance attribution and measurement methodologies
  • Experience working with large datasets and performance reporting and dashboard building is highly preferred
