Job summary

Aptiv is seeking an experienced Perception Function Owner to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of perception functions across our ADAS portfolio in the United States. You will serve as the key link between product strategy, platform development, and senior leadership across multiple vehicle programs.

You will ensure alignment of perception functionality while building organizational capability, technical excellence, and delivery performance, working with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as Function Owner, Systems Engineer, or similar role within ADAS.
• Experience with issue tracking, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Solid understanding of ADAS systems and perception technologies.
• Experience with vehicle testing and system validation.
• Knowledge of automotive standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers and project teams regarding ADAS perception functions.
• Drive alignment of customer expectations, feature performance, and system behavior throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead analysis, triage, and resolution of customer-reported issues and tickets, including root cause analysis.
• Work closely with algorithm and platform teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Participate in vehicle testing activities (track, road, fleet), supporting debugging and KPI validation.
• Ensure perception performance meets defined KPIs and compliance requirements (e.g. NCAP, GSR).
• Act as the primary interface between customer programs and platform development teams.
• Support release planning and execution toward customer programs.
• Collaborate with system, integration, and verification teams.
• Support data collection activities driven by project validation needs.

• Knowledge of automotive standards (e.g. ASPICE, ISO 26262)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, etc.)
• Experience from OEM projects and SOP delivery
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins
• Programming or scripting experience (C/C++, Python, MATLAB)
• Driver's license
