Caterpillar in Irving, Texas is seeking a Senior Perception Component Platform Lead to manage camera perception development for autonomous and safety systems. You will coordinate with business, product and system partners, drive progress, and lead engineers and suppliers to deliver production-ready perception components.

The role requires an accredited engineering degree and strong communication, project management, and system integration experience, with prior camera/perception component

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Strong communication, relationship management and technical problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and suppliers in camera/perception component development.
• Experience delivering perception components, including cameras, to production is preferred.
• Familiarity with system integration of perception components and supplier interactions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with business, product and system partners to manage resources for each deliverable within the camera perception component project.
• Oversee and drive project progress; monitor costs; communicate status with stakeholders and partner functions; resolve issues.
• Direct project staffing; motivate and develop the project team.
• Communicate with customers and manage expectations; ensure effective project controls and reporting.
• Lead and participate in supplier interactions and contract manufacturing coordination.
