Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Perception Component Platform Lead in Irving, Texas.

You will manage multiple camera perception programs, coordinate with business, product, and system partners, and guide teams from engineering through supplier collaboration to deliver perception components for autonomous and safety systems. You will direct staffing, mentor team members, and ensure effective project controls while communicating with customers and achieving milestones.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Experience in leading perception component projects or camera-related systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronics engineering and system integration is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources for deliverables within the camera perception component project.
• Oversee and drive project progress, monitor costs, and report status to stakeholders.
• Direct project staffing and develop team members for growth.

As a Senior Perception Component Platform Lead you manage multiple camera component development programs that aligns with our corporate needs, then work with your Caterpillar team and/or suppliers to design, develop, deliver and qualify the perception component for Caterpillar autonomous, automated safety and base machine systems.

What You Will Do:

• Coordinating with the business, product and system partners to manage resources for each deliverable within the camera perception component project.
• Overseeing and driving project progress; monitoring costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
• Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.
• Communicating with customers and managing expectations; ensuring effective use of project controls and reporting mechanisms.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

• Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing and product development environment.

• Strong communicationandorganizationalskills that will beutilizedin theplanning,execution, and communication process of an electroniccomponentdevelopment program from working level engineers to senior leaders.
• Ability toestablisha vision for the product andworka generational delivery plan.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills togoalong withdegreefrom anaccredited engineering program.
• Previousexperience in deliveringperceptioncomponents, like camerasor others,to production as a workinglevel engineer and/or as a lead engineer
• Previousexperience with supplier interaction,tier 1, tier2and contract manufacturers.
• Previousexperience in system integration ofperceptioncomponents, like cameras or others.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
