Job summary

System Soft Technologies seeks an experienced Senior PeopleSoft Security Analyst to administer and strengthen security across complex enterprise PeopleSoft environments, including HCM, FSCM, and EPM. You will manage user profiles, roles, and access controls, conduct security assessments, and support audits to protect payroll, employee records, and confidential data.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience administering PeopleSoft security in large enterprise environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, EPM, and PeopleTools.
• Advanced experience configuring and maintaining PeopleSoft user profiles, roles, permission lists, and role-based access controls.
• Strong understanding of PeopleSoft security architecture, security tables, component/page access, process security, and row-level security.
• Experience managing user access throughout the employee lifecycle, including provisioning, access modifications, and deprovisioning.
• Strong expertise with PeopleSoft Query Manager, Query Access Groups, query trees, public/private queries, and query security permissions.
• Experience implementing security controls to protect PII, payroll information, employee records, and other confidential data.
• Experience conducting access reviews, security audits, role recertifications, segregation-of-duties assessments, and privileged access reviews.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain PeopleSoft application security across HCM, FSCM, EPM, and related PeopleTools environments.
• Configure and manage user profiles, roles, permission lists, component access, page access, process security, and row-level security.
• Implement and maintain role-based access controls aligned with organizational security policies.
• Review PeopleSoft security tables, role assignments, permission-list configurations, and user authorization settings.
• Troubleshoot complex application security issues involving user profiles, access permissions, roles, and security configurations.
• Maintain consistent and appropriate security controls across production and non-production environments.
• Manage access provisioning, modifications, and deprovisioning for employees, contractors, vendors, retirees, and terminated users.
• Evaluate access requirements based on job data, effective dates, employment status, and approved access requests.
• Identify and remediate inappropriate, excessive, outdated, or unauthorized user access.
• Review access approval workflows, manager permissions, employee timesheet access, and other security-related business processes.
• Recommend improvements to access management procedures, approval processes, and security automation.
• Administer and evaluate PeopleSoft Query Manager security, including public and private queries, Query Access Groups (QAG), query trees, and permissions.
• Review existing queries to identify unauthorized access to confidential or sensitive information.
• Implement controls protecting PII, employee records, payroll data, and other restricted information.
• Evaluate row-level security, application permissions, and database access controls for data visibility.
• Work with DBAs to investigate access to sensitive database tables and support database-level security auditing.
• Conduct periodic user access reviews, role recertifications, and privileged access assessments.
• Evaluate segregation-of-duties conflicts, manager approvals, and adherence to governance requirements.
• Collect and maintain audit evidence supporting internal assessments and compliance reviews.
• Identify security control weaknesses and remediation recommendations.
• Review security configuration changes, role assignments, and access history to detect risks.
• Coordinate remediation of audit findings with application, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
• Develop and maintain security reports to monitor user access, role assignments, and permission changes.
• Analyze PeopleSoft security tables and access records to investigate potential unauthorized access.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring monitoring, reporting, and control validation.
• Investigate and resolve complex security incidents involving application authorization, query access, and row-level permissions.
• Troubleshoot security issues across production, development, testing, and staging environments.
• Ensure sensitive production information remains protected in non-production systems.
• Develop and maintain security procedures, access control documentation, audit reports, and remediation plans.
• Document security configurations, workflows, and monitoring procedures.
• Collaborate with PeopleSoft analysts, developers, DBAs, auditors, and cybersecurity teams.
• Recommend improvements to security administration and governance processes.
• Provide technical guidance on PeopleSoft security standards and best practices.
