Job summary

Tharros is seeking a Senior Penetration Tester to support the US Navy OPTEVFOR cyber OT&E mission. You will help develop cyber test plans, execute tests across operational, lab, and cyber range environments, and report findings.

You will leverage open-source and commercial tools to assess attack surfaces and provide results to leadership. The role requires at least 6 years of offensive security experience, strong leadership in red team activities, and relevant OSCP/OSCE/GX-PT/GXPM/PNPT/CPTS

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in penetration testing, red teaming, or exploitation development.
• Minimum 6 years leading red team operators to achieve test objectives.
• OSCP, OSCE, GX-PT, GXPM, PNPT, or HTB CPTS certifications required.
• Proficient with multiple offensive tools including Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Core Impact, Burp Suite, Nessus, SharpHound/BloodHound.

Responsibilities

• Develop cyber test plans and execute tests on operational, lab, or cyber range environments.
• Review OPTEVFOR cyber T&E concepts and SOPs; contribute to DCAT authorization docs.
• Support development of TTPs for penetration testing or red teaming.
• Lead test plan reviews and coordinate pre-test site visits.
• Execute tests and document results; ensure safety and compliance with policies.
• Participate in post-test documentation and lessons learned.
