Job summary

Dell is seeking a Product Planner to define multi-year product vision and lead the product definition for PC offerings across Consumer, Commercial, Workstations or Gaming. You will write PRDs, build business cases, and drive market-aligned roadmaps with supplier partnerships.

You will collaborate across engineering, procurement, and design to translate insights into executable product strategies, deliver executive updates, and steer investment decisions that maximize market impact.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in product management including the launch of at least three flagship hardware products as the directly accountable product manager.
• Deep system understanding across x86/Arm CPUs, memory technology, thermal design, displays and storage devices.
• Exceptional product sense – can turn user insights and competitive teardowns/benchmarks into clear, testable requirements and bold bets within your product.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement product strategies aligned with company vision and market trends.
• Strong market analysis skills, significant cross functional collaboration experience and exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the Product: Define a multiyear vision for your product category and own the product definition for one or more PC products; write PRDs, set success metrics, and build business cases to increase market share.
• Build the Right System: Drive system-level decisions across CPU/GPU, memory, storage, displays; partner with suppliers to shape roadmaps.
• Drive Decisions: lead cross-functional teams toward a unified product vision with clear priorities.
• Gather Market & Customer Insight: leverage regional sales and research to prioritize investment opportunities.
• Tell the Story: help build launch narratives and differentiate the product to customers and sales.
• Display Excellent Communication: provide concise, executive-ready updates and data-driven recommendations.
• Operate like an Owner: identify issues early, simplify, and move with speed.
