Brookfield Asset Management Inc. is hiring a Senior Analyst for Payroll Tax in Chicago. You will oversee US and Canadian payroll tax processing, ensure compliance, and work with payroll, tax, finance and HR teams to implement controls and improvements.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of US and Canadian payroll taxes, experience with HRIS and tax filing vendors, and the ability to lead process improvements across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 4–6 years (or more) of payroll tax, payroll operations or tax compliance across US and Canada.
• Strong knowledge of US and Canadian payroll tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll tax processing for US federal/state/local and Canadian jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with payroll/HRIS systems and vendors for tax setup and reporting.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and implement changes across both countries.
• Support filing of payroll tax returns and resolve notices or audits.
• Develop SOPs and controls; provide analytics on payroll tax metrics.
