Job summary

IMF is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst/Senior Finance Analyst for the Payroll Unit of FINAX. The role emphasizes accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and customer service for staff.

You will perform audits and analytics, support system enhancements, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Ideal candidates have a university degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of experience (or 2+ years at Grade A05), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• University degree required (accounting, business, finance, HR or related).
• 5+ years of relevant experience; or 2+ years at Grade A05.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with payroll processing is required.
• Experience with accounting, bookkeeping or benefit administration is preferred.
• Knowledge of international organizations’ payroll and related policies preferred.
• Proficient with standard data/analytical software; Peoplesoft/Workday/ServiceNow a plus.
• Only candidates residing in the Washington DC metro area will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and related payments accurately and timely.
• Conduct audits, reconciliations, and analytics.
• Advise and guide internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy and procedure development.
• Assist with system/process enhancements and transformations.
• Ensure compliance with payroll policies and work schedules.
• Provide staff with payroll and benefits information and support.
• Assist in testing and implementation of system changes.
