Job summary

Dufry Careers in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to support U.S. and Canadian payroll processing. You will ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely execution, while maintaining payroll records and handling off-cycle payments.

The role reports to the Director of Payroll and requires strong Excel, PeopleSoft, and payroll regulatory knowledge to optimize our payroll processes and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and professional experience must exceed 5 years.
• 3-5 years of payroll experience in a technical role.
• Bachelor’s degree can count for 2 of the 5-year requirement.

Responsibilities

• Examines payroll runs for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance; prepares summary report to the Director of Payroll on improvements.
• Analyzes payroll processes, identifies opportunities, and presents improvement plans; may implement viable plans.
• Prepares reports on performance against targets and payroll trends to drive improvements.
• Ensures compliance with tax, wage and hour regulations, and other payroll laws.
• Verifies wage data, bonuses, overtime, and other remuneration for accuracy.
• Oversees distribution of paychecks and direct deposits; verifies HRMS updates for promotions or salary changes.
