Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a payroll specialist to join a municipal payroll team in Goodyear, AZ during the implementation of a new HRIS/HCM system. You will handle day-to-day payroll operations while assisting with system testing, data validation, and transition activities.

Key responsibilities include processing biweekly payroll, reviewing changes and deductions, and preparing reconciliations and tax filings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle municipal payroll experience required.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, tax reporting, deductions, and payroll accounting.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience with Tyler Munis, payroll system testing, and electronic timekeeping systems preferred.
• Municipal experience supporting police/fire pay rules and union agreements (MOUs) highly preferred.
