Varda in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Payloads Manufacturing Engineer to own the production and integration processes for critical payload systems, including pharmaceutical processing hardware and experiment modules. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent) and 3–6+ years in aerospace/related fields.
• Experience turning payload design requirements into production‑ready processes and instructions.
• Familiarity with GD&T, ICDs, and interface requirement management.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end payload manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Develop detailed work instructions, travelers, and test procedures for payload fabrication.
• Interface with customers and internal teams to meet payload readiness and quality standards.
• Lead containment/cleanliness programs for sensitive payload hardware.
• Coordinate integration milestones with vehicle teams and maintain build records.
